Glennallen
Area: 114.1 square miles
Population: 554 (2000 census)

Glennallen is known for its
outstanding scenery and great fishing. If you spend time in communities
like this you will understand one of Alaska's biggest assets, its people.
Glennallen is the center of the Copper River Basin one of Alaska's premier
outdoor recreation areas. It is bordered by four mountain ranges that
includes the largest National Park in the United States, and dozens of
beautiful rivers. Needless to say the fishing is superb in many of them.
There are so many things to do in the area that you will only be bounded
by the amount of time you have decided to spend here. There is an excellent

Eight stars of gold on a field of blue,
Alaska's Flag, may it mean to you
The blue of the sea, the evening sky,
The mountain lakes and the flow'rs nearby,
The gold of the early sourdough dreams,
The precious gold of the hills and streams,
The brilliant stars in the northern sky,
The Bear, the Dipper, and shining high,
The great North star with its steady light.
O'er land and sea a beacon bright,
Alaska's Flag to Alaskans dear,
The simple flag of a last frontier.
